Quantum computing will “take off” when more people become involved and more open-source software for it exists, William Hurley said during his keynote speech Tuesday at this year’s South by Southwest Conference and Festivals. “This is an incredibly important moment in the history of computing,” said Hurley, who is more commonly known by his nickname, Whurley.
